Hello ladies I hope and pray that all is well with you and your families.
Whew the holidays are over and now we only have a few more months to get
the job done and to start reporting. You all do the work for your Auxiliary so
report it.
I would like to thank all of you for giving your time and energy to our
VETERANS.
I am asking you to start a campaign in your Auxiliary to contact the families of
the deployed military. Too often these heroes are forgotten. Yes, they are heroes
too, and they are fighting right along with their loved ones, just in a
different place. They need to know that someone cares. {Sue Wells National
Americanism Chairman}.
Now is the time to start getting the information out on the proper retirement
and disposal of the American Flag. Not only do we need to teach the students we
also need to inform our community on the proper guidelines regarding our
flag. Give out certificates to those that fly the flag all year long. Replace a
worn or tattered flag.
Dates to remember
February 8 Boy Scouts of America founded {1910}
14 St. Valentine's Day
21 President's day { Fly your Flag}
Actual days : Lincoln’s Birthday 12th; Washington's Birthday 22nd
Fly your Flag on these days also.
Patriotic Instructor: We are seeing more and more POW/MIA flags being carried
and displayed; remember to teach that you do not salute the POW/MIA however you
can stand respectfully as it passes and take a moment to reflect on its meaning.
Loyally yours

As we begin our new year lets not forget to renew our efforts to instill Patriotism to everyone around us.
Ladies remember every thing you have done since April. You can report this for the 2010/2011 year. Use the year end report to guide you on some of your programs. These are the things that your Auxiliary will be judged on.
This is an election year so you can start promoting your “GET OUT AND VOTE” program. This is found on page 43 of National program book. When you decide what program you are having at your Post please try and get it in the media {newspaper, TV, radio etc.} so the public knows about us.
OUR STRENGH LIES IN UNITY and we will always be UNITED by LOVE for OUR VETERANS and COUNTRY as each one of us shows our Patriotism by informing the public and helping one another.
